Summer Dayz...

Happy Summer Everybody!!!

Momma's been pretty busy with this thing she called "Quarter End" and so she hasn't been able to help me get my blog updated!!! GRRRrrr!!!!


It's been a pretty fun summer so far!! In the past three weeks since I posted last, I've been what Momma calls "a going concern"!!!


Momma had a big birthday a couple weeks ago! She said its only a BIG birthday if it has a 5 or a O in it. She's not too happy about that O. I told her she looks awesome for 10 years old!!! LOL I just didn't mention to her that that's really 70 in dog years!!! HA HA Momma!!!

She had a nice party at our house and she invited my brother Halo and his sister Misa so that I would have someone to play with! She also invited Mikey the Pug but it was too hot outside for him. Mikey isn't used to the heat, so we played together in the house! It was FUN!!


This is me and my brother Halo. We were born in the same litter. Halo was fun to play with! I can't wait to do it again!!

Every now and then, Halo and I took a break from wrestling to catch our breaths. I'm not used to playing so hard!! WOOT!! Bring it on, Bro!!

Momma says we look cute here taking a nap together. I'm trying to convince her that we're just faking each other out but she's not buying it!

After Momma's birthday was done, The Girls set up this really cool tent in our backyard! Do you know those Girls got to sleep OUTSIDE!!! I think I need a tent of my own so I can sleep outside too! [Momma is shaking her head No... looks like I gotta lay on the charm!] The Girls let me come with them inside the tent for a little while. It was FUN!!

Last week end, Momma and Daddy let me play in the pool! Momma says I probably sink like a rock. I say it was REALLY hot outside and THIS felt good!!!!

Don't I just LOOK all nice and cool now??? Uht Oh!!! There's an evil TOWEL coming my way!! Better RUN!!!!!!

This is me just the other day. The magic Sprinklers came on while I was outside and I got SOAKED!!! I love the magic sprinklers! They come on 3 times a day like clockwork!!!

This is me relaxing under Momma's chair. It's still pretty warm outside on this day, so I sometimes just run out, grab a toy and then drag it back under Momma's chair!

And finally, this is me exhausted!!! I played so hard this day!! That's my "hockey-puss" there. Momma calls it "Indestructable". I just call it fun!!!

Well, that's about all I have time for tonight! Momma says its time to go stuff my kong and go to bed. She says I'm growing up SOOOO fast! I'll be 21 weeks old in a couple days. That's not old at all!!!!

Truck Rides!!

Hey! Wanna know what's even MORE fun than playing in the sprinkler? TRUCK RIDES!!!

Truck rides are fun cuz you never know where you're gonna end up, but when I go with Mommy, I just KNOW its gonna be some place fun!!!


I was scared of truck rides at first cuz every time we'd go in the truck, we were on our way to the vet! I like my vet, but its not exactly the most FUN place in the world!!


And THEN!!! Mommy put me in the truck a couple Saturdays ago and I didn't want to go! I'm so glad she made me go cuz the first place we went was to Pampered Paws in Tracy. They were SO NICE to me there! They gave me treats and told me how sweet and how CUTE I was! Then they gave me a pedicure, more treats and then we got back in the truck!

Our next stop was this smelly place called Starbucks. We drove up to the window and this really nice guy gave me a cup of Starbucks ice! How did he know I love ice cubes!!! Starbucks is my new favorite place!!!

Where to next??? The PetCo store!!! WOO-WOO!!! I got to go inside and everything!! Mommy let me pick out a new toy all by myself. That's where I got my hedgehog. It squeeks REAL LOUD! PetCo is my new favorite place!!




Then last week end, Mommy took me for a REALLY LONG truck ride! When we got to the place we were going, we walked a loooong ways in this gravelly stuff and OMG!!! There were SO MANY DOGS THERE!!!! Did you know dogs sometimes come in COLORS???? Mommy said this place was called WoofStock.

After we passed all the colorful dogs there, guess who we saw?!?!?! NANA CLU and NANA SHELLIE and AUNTIE JOAN!!! And there were people there who even knew who I was!!! Mommy called them "fans" cuz they follow my blogs. So here's a special AWoo-woo-woo to Don and Belle! He was so nice to me!! Mommy says she met so many people there that she can't remember all their names but there were a couple more people who knew who I was because of my blog, so AWoo-Woo-Woo!!! to them too!!!!

We went to see Nana Clu and Nana Shellie on the really long truck ride 2 days in a row. I got to hang out with my half-brother Zack (who didn't seem to notice me much) and Cami, and Poppy and Montana and Shelby! It was so much fun!!!!



Another really fun place to fo in the truck is to Puppy class!!! We started that this past week and I had a lot of fun! I already knew how to do the SIT and DOWN parts, so we worked on CATCH and WAIT. All of a sudden, Mommy took me off my leash at puppy class and said I could go play with all the other puppies. They sure looked like they were having a lot of fun, I liked watching them. Mommy thought it was funny when I hopped up on the chair so I could see better, but the instructor lady thought I should be playing with the other puppies.

Top Notch Dogs in Modesto is a really fun place! Mommy says we're going back on Thursday. I don't know when Thursday is, but I hope it comes fast!!!! Top Notch Dogs is my new favorite place!!!

Today we went for another truck ride. Daddy, Mommy and me went to the park and had a pick-nick. That just means we sat on a blanket under a tree and ate yummy food. It was really fun! We went to Starbucks afterward and Daddy got lost in the Home Depot store for an hour. It was OK, though, cuz Mommy and I stayed in the truck and drank our Starbucks.

Well, I'm really tired and Mommy & Daddy are getting ready to go out on a date (without me, if you can imagine that!!!) so I gotta go bug my girls.

Mommy caught me when I wasn't paying attention today and made me this video. Mommy was working from home today and she said I was such a good boy playing so quiet while she was working so she stuffed my Kong with some yummy treats!

I like it when Mommy works from home!

Playing in the Backyard

Hello!! What a wonderfully warm day it was outside today!!! I got to chew on lots of ice cubes! Ice cubes are great and we have a magic ice maker in the food place! Its wonderful!!!

When Mommy and Daddy got home from work today, they played with me outside. The Girls came out and played, too, since Mommy is still hobbling around! Mommy said it was OK that she wasn't able to play with us, she said she was having fun all by herself taking pictures!!

So, these were taken today (May 18/09), right before dinner.

I am one Handsome Dude!!! I think I look a little bit like my canine Daddy, Luke, in this picture!!

This is my favorite toy in my toy box! My racoon!

Should I jump in again??? Maybe I might wanna re-think that one!! I jumped in earlier today and all I got was another torture session complete with BRUSHES and a BLOW DRYER!!! That's why I'm so POOFY tonight! The Girls gave me another BATH!!! UGH!

This is me, contemplating my decision to NOT jump in! The bath and the blow dryer once in one day is MORE than enough for me!!!

Poofy or not, I'm still too cute for words!!! And don't I just look so sweet and innocent?!?!?

These are just some random pictures Mommy thought was cute. I'm too sleepy to stomp all over Mommy's laptop so I'm gonna let her help me with this one while I cuddle with her on the couch.

This is my Daddy. He bought me my very first Sharks jersey. Mommy and Daddy are huge hockey fans and they named me after the Captain of the San Jose Sharks, Patrick Marleau. Mommy says she's partial to goalies but she couldn't name me Nabby cuz she yells at him too many times during a game and she thought it might confuse me.

I like my new jersey!! I don't think any other dog in my neighbourhood has one as nice as mine!!

This is me laying on the kitchen floor trying to take my very important afternoon nap. Dayle and Gloria are both taking a photography class and they have fun taking my picture. I didn't like the bright flashes at first, but I've gotten used to them! Everyone likes to take my picture! And why wouldn't they? I'm too cute for words!!

This is me while the Girls were TORTURING me!!! Can you see the indignities I had to put up with here? And I thought they LOVED me!!! UGH! I'm a dog, and I'm SUPPOSED to smell like a dog! Don't they know that!!! I bet my Nana Clu will have something to say to them over THIS act of brutality!!

= This is me AFTER my torture session. Gloria says I am so very soft and she cuddled with me for a while. I was still full of brattiness after my bath, though! Look what they did to me! I'm all POOFY! Mommy says I'm not her "Stinky Dog" anymore and that she likes me all POOFY. UGH!!! I'm a boy, Mommy! I'm SUPPOSED to be smelly!!!

Well, that's about it for tonight! Mommy is getting her crutches out and says she's ready to go to bed, so I gotta help her get to the bedroom. I think I'll grab some of her pillows and get them out of the way for her! I bet if I drag them to every corner of the room, she won't trip over them on her way to bed!

I'm so helpful, ain't I?!

All Settled In!

Well, its been a while since I've had a minute to post anything! I sure have been keeping my new family busy! I've been Home now for almost 3 weeks and I like my daily routines.

In the morning when I wake up, Mommy lets me run around outside in the back yard and I get to BARK BARK BARK! at all the birds! I like it when they fly away! The birds let me chse them right up to the house! But then they tease me cuz they're all sitting on the roof and making lots of noise but I can't get them up there!

Breakfast is yummy! Mommy gives me my yogurt first. I LOVE yogurt! Its even better than peanut butter, I think. It doesn't get all goopy in my mouth! and after breakfast, sometimes I get to go for a walk around the block. Mommy makes me wait, though, until after the coffee pot thing is done gurgling and she takes some with her.

After our walk, its time to go wake up the Girls! Mommy says that's a VERY important thing for me to do! So up the stairs we go! I'm really good at going up the stairs! The Girls take turns at getting woke up by me. Mommy helps me get up on their beds and I have to bounce all over them and BARK BARK BARK until they open their eyes! The best part is when they see me there, they cuddle with me! I love cuddles! Mommy says I'm just a big fluffy CuddleBug!

After Mommy and Daddy leave for work, I get to hang out with the Girls all day! They play with me all morning! Dayle even learned how to play tug o'war. It took me FOREVER to get her to do it right with the toy in her mouth!! Lazy Girl just kept hanging on to it with her paws! That's cheating! :)

All afternoon long, I take naps. Naps are very important, don't you know! Growing pups like me need lots of naps! I like taking a nap under the kitchen table cuz the floor is nice and cool in there. Michaela lets me snuggle with her on the couch sometimes but I'm not supposed to tell Mommy how long I actually stay up there! Gloria cuddles with me on the floor to take naps when she gets home from school or from work. I like Gloria, she has long nails for scratching and she knows all the right places!!

The Girls take me for walks to the park in the afternoons when it isn't too hot outside. Know what's really great about the park? There's a WATERFALL!! Michaela took me there just yesterday and she let me go in it! I climbed up on a rock all by myself and sat there trying to catch the splashes! What fun!!! I got all wet! I was really tired when we got home from the park, so I took a nap with my bunny.

When Mommy is home, she likes to be outside so I go out and play with her. I help her with her flowers and she chases me! There's lots of bark for me to dig in, she chases me then, too! When Daddy goes outside after work, he takes out the garden hose and I get to help him water the flowers and the grass. He needs my help pulling the garden hose out of the box. He says I'm a big boy and I'm a really good helper! The sprayer part is evil, though! I was chewing on it and all of a sudden all this water started shooting into my face! UGH!

Well, its time to go back under Mommy's chair and have a nap. She says she has a meeting thing to do and I need to be very quiet so that no one finds out that she's not sitting in her office, she's really hanging out with me outside.

Before I sign off, though, Mommy is going to put a video of us here! Daddy bought me my very own Sharks jersey!!! Here we are trying it on!!

Mommy has lots of pictures of me!! She said she's gonna try to get a few of them posted here for me soon. They're all cute, of course!! :)

My First Week

Well, I think I'm learning what "Spoiled Rotten" means! LOL

Dayle and Michaela and Gloria are my puppy sitters during the week when Mommy and Daddy are at work. They are so much fun!! My first full day in my forever home, they set my x-pen up in the front yard and I got to meet all of the neighbours!

Sometimes we just sit and chill and watch a movie. Dayle is a good cuddler! She lets me hang all over her!

Most of the time, though, during the daytime, I get to PLAY PLAY PLAY!!! Mommy made me some toys to play with and the Girls get down on the floor with me!

Sometimes they take me for walks, too! Like yesterday, they took me all the way to the park!!

[for the record, the park is 2 blocks away].

Its the farthest I've walked so far! I think I like walking at lunchtime better than at 530 in the morning (Crazy Mommy!)

Here's one of the topys Mommy made for me. These are about the only toys she'll let me try to rip limb from limb!

Mommy says its pretty easy to make my toys. You just get 1/2 a yard of good fleece in my favorite colors, cut three strips about an inch wide each. Then she says you gotta fold them in half, that's what makes it so strong! Then just tie one end in a big fat knot, braid the double strips till it's as long as you want it. You finish it off by tying another big fat knot at the other end and cutting off the scraps, leaving about an inch or so at the ends so I have something I can bite on!

As an added bonus, Mommy says you take those scraps and cut them till they're all the same length. Then tie them in one great big knot and leave the ends to fly! I have the knot toy in the picture above. If I shake it REALLY hard, it can fly all the way across the room!!

Mommy learned really quick that I'm no stranger to sleeping in a bed!! She says I'm a wiggly worm, but really I'm just trying to push everyone so far out of the way that I get the whole bed to myself!! Hehehe Smarter than the average pup, I am!! This is me telling Mommy I'm not going to give her back her pillow until she shares her popcorn!

Well, Mommy says her lunch break is over and the Girls are back with her coffee so I gotta get out of her office so she can bang on the squares. I think I need a potty break, anyway!

Welcome to my new Blog Site!

Hi!

My name is Hat Trick Marleau Minasi, but you can call me Marleau! I was born on Friday, February 13th, 2009 and I went to live with my forever family just last night on Sunday, April 26th, 2009. I'm really happy to be in my new family!! But let me show you how we met!



This is my Nana Clu! She knows both my Canine Mommy & Daddy very well! She says that my Canine Mommy & Daddy were so well suited for each other that they would produce beautiful babies and guess what! She was right (if I do say so myself!!)!! The day this picture was taken, I was 10 weeks and 2 days old and I was getting ready to go to my forever home. It was a really long car ride for a little guy like me and my Mommy says I was worth the wait!



These are my hooman sisters, Dayle and Gloria. I didn't know it when this picture was taken, though! Dayle and Gloria were a lot of fun to play with while we waited for that nice lady to finish evaluating my litter mates and I!


This is my hooman Mommy. She called me a CuddleBug and she tells me I was her favorite puppy in the whole bunch and that's why she brought me home.

I like a Mommy who knows how to cuddle!!



And this is my hooman Daddy. He's so much fun!! He gets down on the floor and plays with me and he's always telling me what a Good Boy I am!

Daddy tells me that I was named after a famous hockey player. I don't know what hockey is yet, but Daddy tells me there are sticks involved! If that's true, I just know I'm gonna like hockey, whatever it is!!!

I just knew my Mommy was going to pick me!! This is us sitting in the grass. You can't see her face, but she's pretty happy here and I think she was even crying a little bit when she picked me! I don't know what "Spoiled Rotten" means, but I hope it's a good thing cuz Mommy says that's what I'm gonna be soon!



Mommy and Daddy and my 2 Nana's had some talking to do so I brought Dayle this stick. I wasn't sure she knew what to do with it, being a hooman and all, but she learned fast!



And even though she learned fast, she just wouldn't put the stick in her mouth!!! I can tell I've got a lot of training to do with this hooman girl!



It was a really long day and I was so happy that Daddy cuddled with me on the floor. He must have been as comfy as I was cuz he fell asleep right before I did.

Mommy put me in my crate after a while and that was nice cuz I have a really soft, squishy blankie in there and this Kong thing that's filled with yummy peanut butter! I think I'm gonna love peanut butter!!!

Well, that's about all I have to tell you right now. My paws are getting tired from stomping all over this things with squares. Mommy and Daddy should be home from work soon and I'm gonna learn what this hockey thing is. They tell me we're gonna watch it on TV when they get home!
